No risk. No reward.

It is difficult for people to leave their comfort zones. We become accustomed to the familiar and choose to stay in unproductive situations rather than take a chance on ourselves. The fear of the unknown prevents many people from giving themselves a chance to increase. This fear also prevents the world from experiencing greatness it needs to be better.

My parents never allowed me to be afraid of my destiny. My father had many wise sayings he would quote to me, "nothing beats a failure but a try", "can't died", and my favorite, "the difficult is done at once. The impossible takes a little longer." My parents were hard workers and fighters and they refused to allow any of their children to give up on life without a fight.

Graveyards are filled with wonderful stories we will never hear, ideas and inventions we will never witness. So much greatness lies underground when the would may be better had they given themselves a shot. Perhaps they had no one to encourage them. Perhaps they felt unequipped in their knowledge or education. Perhaps they did not have enough resources. These fears, doubts, and insecurities proved to be greater than inner might and determination.

Don't let that happen to you.

If you want to live a fulfilled and prosperous life, go for it! Don't allow people, situations, money, or fear to prevent you from taking a leap of faith and making your dreams a reality. It is better to have tried and failed, than to never try at all. In fact, failures aren't really failures. They are opportunities to regroup, rethink, and realign your purpose. It may take a little longer than anticipated, but if you are diligent it will work in time. Go for it! Make those dreams realities and take a risk on yourself. You may be surprised at the payoff.
